American Cruise Lines will be sailing Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands in 2013. Offered aboard the 100-passenger American Spirit, round-trip cruises from Seattle will visit some of the West Coast’s most the most beautiful inland waterways.
The new route adds to American Cruise Lines’ Pacific Northwest offerings, which include Alaska’s Inside Passage and the Columbia and Snake rivers.
The cruises will focus on scenic and cultural diversity, wildlife and history. Ports include Washington state’s Anacortes, Friday Harbor, Port Townsend and Pouslbo.
The inaugural cruise is scheduled for April 6.
‘Following the terrific response to our Alaska and Columbia and Snake river itineraries, Puget Sound was a natural next step,’ said Timothy Beebe, vp of American Cruise Lines.
