With over 25 members, the French Cruise Lines Association, whose mission is promoting cruising in the French market organised a road show in Paris on June 5.
Under the name of Happy Cruise AFCC, this was the first of eight roadshows taking place across the country this month, finishing in Strasbourg on June 28.
Each event starts with an overview of current market conditions before travel agents meet up face to face with cruise line sales representatives from both river and ocean cruise lines.
Valerie Conan cruise director of Le Havre Tourism who attended the Paris gathering said, ‘ being a member of AFCC gave us a great opportunity to promote Le Havre as a turnaround port for French clientele.’
More than 600 French travel agents have already registered to praticipate in this year’s Longest Cruise Days event planned by AFCC for October 16-18.
